American English

Learn the most-used words in English. Across all four skills.

Langualy brings reading, listening, speaking and writing together in a single app. You study the vocabulary that actually shows up, and spaced repetition brings each word back at the right moment.

  • Vocabulary ordered by frequency
  • Spaced repetition with FSRS
  • Prepared audio for words and sentences

The four pillars

A word is only yours once you recognise it, hear it, say it and write it.

Every word has four independent tracks. You can be sharp at reading and still stumble when listening — the app treats those as separate things.

  • Reading

You read the official sentence and try to understand it before flipping the card. Tap any word for its translation, pronunciation and audio without leaving the exercise.

  • Speaking

Listen to the official audio, record your own voice and hear both. When you ask for the analysis, the recording is transcribed and what was recognised appears compared against the expected sentence.

  • Listening

Audio only, with no sentence on screen. You type what you heard and Langualy compares it word by word with the official sentence, highlighting every difference.

  • Writing

Write an English sentence with the given word and say, in Portuguese, what you meant. Automated correction points out the mistakes and checks whether the English really said that.

How it works

A short routine, always in the same order.

You never have to build a study plan or pick the next exercise. The app leads, and the session ends when it ends.

  1. 01

    Discover

New words arrive in frequency order, from the most used to the least used. You mark what you already knew and what you want to learn.

  2. 02

    Practise

Every word starts with reading, then opens up speaking, listening and writing — one skill at a time, with room to breathe between them.

  3. 03

    Review

Spaced repetition works out when each skill of each word needs to come back. You only review what is actually due.

  4. 04

    Consolidate

Once a word holds up across all four skills, it joins My Vocabulary — the number that measures what you already command.

Inside the app

Clean screens, one decision at a time.

The session shows what matters in that second — the sentence, the audio, the answer — and nothing else.

  • Home

Your vocabulary count, the goal for today and the next step.

  • Reading

The sentence, the audio and the highlighted word once you flip the card.

  • Dictation

The word-by-word comparison against the official sentence.

Why Langualy

Everything vocabulary needs, in one place.

  • One app, not four

No more stitching together a flashcard deck, a podcast, a notebook and a corrector. All four skills work the same vocabulary, in the same place.

  • Vocabulary that pays off

The sequence follows the real frequency of the language. The first words already cover a good share of what you read and hear every day.

  • Sentences under control

Every example sentence uses only vocabulary that has already appeared. You never learn a word hidden behind five unknown ones.

  • Immediate feedback, with the reason

In dictation, the comparison runs word by word on your device. In writing, automated correction shows the mistake, the corrected text, and whether your sentence said what you meant.

  • Prepared audio, not improvised

Words and sentences have official audio produced before publication. Listen as many times as you like, with no waiting.

  • A metric that matters

My Vocabulary shows how much you already command and what the next milestone is. No progress bar reminding you of what is missing.

  • Your pace, your goal

An adjustable daily goal, a day streak and an optional reminder. Missed a day? The streak restarts, but no word is ever lost.

  • What is yours stays yours

Recordings and exercise texts never become history. They go to the services that handle transcription and correction, come back as a result, and are not kept by us.

FAQ

The questions that come up first.

See all questions
  • Is Langualy free?

It is. At launch, the app is completely free.

  • Which languages can I study?

American English. Spanish and French appear inside the app as what comes next, with no date yet.

  • Do I need an account?

Yes. The account is what keeps your progress and holds your words exactly where you left them.

  • Does it work for absolute beginners?

It does. The sequence starts with the most basic words, and every sentence uses only vocabulary that has already appeared.

  • Does Langualy use artificial intelligence?

In two places: to correct the sentence you write and to transcribe your shadowing recording. Reading and dictation use none. The Privacy Policy explains what is sent in each case.

  • What language is the app in?

The app interface is in Brazilian Portuguese at launch. More interface languages will follow.

  • Is there an Android version?

Not yet. The launch is on iPhone, and Android is on the roadmap with no date set.

Start with the words you will actually use.
